About this item
An original Royal Air Force H Type oxygen mask dated 1972 which is a size medium.
This pattern of mask was introduced in late 1944 and stayed in service for many decades theater. The mask is the same construction as WW2 examples and features the correct H type harness and retains both side straps. The microphone is an Amplivox 13100 example as used in the post-war period. The rubber face piece features the 1972 date to one side below the microphone and is marked as a medium size to the underside.
The mask is in used condition but still displays reasonably well with some crazing and cracking etc to the rubber which is visible in the pictures. The elastic on the two side straps has lost its elasticity and they are not in the best condition overall. There are various signs of age and use as can be seen in the pictures so please take time to study these before purchasing.
Whilst there are some flaws this is still a genuine and complete original example.
This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
