About this item
An original Q-Type Oxygen Mask as used by the RAF in good condition, sometimes referred to as 'MASK P.1.B' with the stores code 6D/3040.
The original P/Q mask came out during the 1950s and has seen a long service life in the RAF. This example is later featuring the green rubber face piece with black exo-skeleton, the green rubber being a dermatologically non-allergic version. The original owner has added his name to the bridge of the mask which reads 'Crawford'.
The mask comes complete with its original Amplivox 13100 microphone and is fitted with a harness which is attached to the mask by a chain. This harness allows the mask to be worn without the need of helmet clips or similar. The mask also comes complete with its original rubber oxygen tube which retains its plastic bayonet connector.
Overall condition appears to be good and it displays well.
This would make a great addition to any Jet Age collection!
This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
