About this item
An Original RAF flying helmet visor cover as used on the MK1 and MK1A 'Bone Dome' flying helmets as well as on the MK3 series.
This original item is made from a dark emerald green coloured velvet. A piece of elastic is fitted around the outside which allows the cover to be pulled over a visor before pulling securely onto it.
The original label is still present to the cover and it bears the War Department broad arrow marking as well as the RAF stores reference number of 22C/1252896.
The condition is good with no real signs of age or damage.
A good original item which would make a nice addition to a period flying helme
