RAF B Type Aircrew Flying Helmet.
A good example of the pattern of flying helmet worn by aircrew during the Battle of France, Battle of Britain and bombing operations etc in the early part of WW2.
Retaining the original dark brown leather exterior finish and tailored with leather ear covers these with original working zips and earphone mounts. The interior with leather lining this with two areas of damage see photographs not effecting overall appearance. The interior crown with original issue label Size 2 1941.
Overall a good example, soft and supple.
