For sale is a WW1 British Medal Trio To Sergeant G L Fish Army Service Corps From Shaftesbury & Research.
These ww1 medals are engraved “S-4044251 Sjt G.L.Fish ASC”. George Lionel Fish was born in the 22nd of November 1877 in Shaftesbury Dorset. He married Esther Fish, and had one daughter Ferne Violet Amy Fish. His trade upon enlistment was a grocer & baker. George served at the rank of sergeant in the the royal army service corps during World War One. He entered the French theatre of war from the 19th of September 1915. George was entitled to a British war medal, victory medal and 1914-15 star which are all present. The ribbons are replacements. Sadly George died on the 2nd of October in 1944 in Naas sandford road in wiscombe Somerset. Accompanying these medals is 5 scans of his service records.
