    About this item

An original British Army style DPM Windproof Smock dating from the 1990s.

This smock was made by the company 'Survival Aids' during the 1990s and is based on the windproof smock pattern which is often referred to as the 'SAS Smock'. They were available as a 'private purchase' item and were well sought-after being of a higher quality than issue examples. The jacket is made from a ventile fabric which is a very tightly woven cotton which has had a DPM camouflage pattern screen printed onto it. In many ways the design of the smock is unchanged from the first smocks produced during the Second World War with four pockets fitted to the front and a drawstring to the hood and bottom hem. It features a full zip to the front which is double ended and there is a drawstring at the waist. There is a First Field Dress pocket to the left sleeve and the cuffs fasten with velcro.

The smock is in good condition with some signs of wear and use. Please take time to study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age.

A sought-after ventile smock with some great details.
