Correctly termed 27C/2230 Cushions, Water, Type B (2 pints, stowed in Pack, Survival, Type J) these doubled as both a cushion when used in conjunction with the Seat Type Parachute and then providing 2 pints of drinking water when detached.
Constructed in heavy gauge rubber with heat sealed seams and an easily stopper the Cushion clearly shows all the original stores stamps and a date of 16th June 1944.
Rare to find a wartime dated piece, this example is in very good condition
