Bronze award medal from the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS), established in 1891. The R.L.S.S., a UK-based drowning prevention and water safety charity. The front features a classic water rescue or lifesaving scene showing a rescue carry, surrounded by the text "ROYAL LIFE SAVING SOCIETY • ESTABLISHED 1891". Struck in bronze with a diameter of around 32 mm, weighing roughly 15.5 grams.
Ribbon is attached is a red, white, and blue striped.
The reverse side is engraved with the specific recipient's name and date of award 'D. PATERSON' JULY 1935.' VGC.
