130) Excellent Original Early WW2 MK IV General Service Respirator 1938 & MKV Haversack 19

130) Excellent Original Early WW2 MK IV General Service Respirator 1938 & MKV Haversack 1938. A pretty hard to find set as the MKIV respirators with khaki filters were returned to depots sometime in 1940 and re-fitted with an updated filter which was now painted red. Hence finding early dated masks with later dated filters. Also the MKV Haversack was soon replaced by the MKIV. The old havrsacks again returned and replacements issued. The mask is in lovely soft supple condition. The rubber is like new. the stockinet covering is excellent and dates it to 1938 in several places. It does show minor dirt and marks from age. The headstraps are excellent and still elasticated. The head pad is soft and supple and dated 1938. The corrigated hose is mostky good and supple but does have a couple of stiff spots top and bottom (see photos). The filter is again nice with all original finish and dated 1937. The haversack is the correct MKV and is in  good used condition showing dirt and minor wear but all good and strong. The underside of the closure flap is marked with a soldiers details. Under this can be seen the faint MKV and date of 1938. The original Anti-Dim tube is to the bottom of the bag but is pretty worn and rusty from storage. It is dated 1937.
