About this item
An original World War Two era British Army Officer's four pocket khaki drill tunic which is in good condition.
The tunic follows the standard pattern used by British officer's throughout the Second World War. It features two pleated chest pockets which have scalloped pocket flaps, two bellows pockets to the skirt and a pointed cuff. The jacket is fitted with a set of original butterscotch coloured revolving shank buttons which are held in place with brass split rings. There are loops to each shoulder which epaulettes can be fitted to. The tunic comes complete with its matching waist belt which is fitted with a brass two pronged buckle. Inside the neck of the jacket there is a size label which reads '38'.
The tunic is a small size which will suit around a 38" chest. When laid flat the tunic measures -
Chest - 20 1/2"
Waist - 16"
Inside arm - 19"
Outside arm - 26"
Shoulders - 17 1/2"
Length - 31"
The tunic is in good condition with only limited signs of age and wear. It is still very wearable and displays well with a machine repair to one of the sleeves as illustrated. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a pre-worn, vintage military tunic which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
A nice original WW2 period tunic which would suit a re-enactor or collector well.
This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
