About this item
An original US WW2 era Enlisted Man's Four Pocket dress tunic. General good condition, one or two small moth nips, particularly towards bottom of front left hand skirt, but nothing that detracts from the jacket. Tunic is furnished with;
1. A pair of T/4 stripes, black felt back,
2. A CBI (China Burma India) patch on the left shoulder,
3. Three Overseas Service Bars,
4. Ribbon bar, pin back comprising, Good Conduct Medal, American Defense Service Medal and Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars,
5. A Marksman Badge, with Rifle bar, both parts are Sterling marked,
6. U.S. and Engineering Corps Branch of Service discs, both with flat back clutches, denoting World War Two era.
No Laundry Numbers and size marked 38L. Label shows manufacturer to be Jules Segal with a Contract Date of 7 February 1942.
Measured by hand as follows;
Pit to pit - 19.5", so around a 38" chest
Shoulder seam to cuff - 25.5"
Shoulder to shoulder - 17.5"
