Original 1950s Theatre Made Jungle Green Bush Jacket - Size 36

An original theatre made British military Jungle Green Bush Jacket which dates from the 1950s and is in good condition.

This jacket is typical of those made for British Army soldiers during the 1940s and 1950s. It features pleated chest pockets with scalloped flaps, lower bellows pockets which are again flapped and long sleeves which end in a barrel cuff which fasten with a single button. Epaulettes are present to each shoulder and Singapore district formation patches are fitted to the top of each sleeve which are clearly original to the jacket. The tunic is fitted with chocolate brown buttons throughout and comes complete with its matching waist belt which is fitted with an original brass, double pronged buckle. 

The jacket will fit around a 36” chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures -

Chest - 20 1/2”
Waist - 17 1/2"
Inside arm - 18”
Outside arm - 24”
Length - 30 1/2”
Waist - 17 1/2”

The jacket is in good condition with some signs of age and wear. It has some staining etc and clearly been worn and laundered but has plenty of life left in it. There are two machine repairs to the rear of the left shoulder as illustrated in the final picture. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a vintage pre-worn item which may have small flaws commensurate with age. 

All in all a nice example of a British Army Jungle Green Bush Jacket which comes complete with its original insignia.
