    About this item

An original British Army DPM 'Smock Camouflage Windproof' which was made by H. E. Textiles during the 1970s.

This pattern of smock is often referred to as the 'SAS Smock' as it saw issue with the regiment. It is easily distinguishable by its large patch pockets and three piece hood. Made from a tightly woven cotton, the smock features a screen printed camouflage pattern called 'Disruptive Pattern Material' which has to be one of the most iconic British camo patterns to have ever been produced. It features typical 1970s colours and a heavy gauge double ended plastic zipper with metal puller fastens to the front. A drawstring is fitted to the hood which can be tightened with a plastic adjuster which is marked 'Fixlock 194' and a second drawstring is present along the bottom edge. A pen/chinagraph Pocket is located to the upper portion of the left sleeve.

Inside the jacket there is a hanging loop at the neck below which is the original label. It bears the title 'Smock Camouflage Windproof 8415-99-132-3954' Below which is the size of 4 and the maker's name of H. E. Textiles.

A rare and sought after pattern of smock which is the direct descendant of the WW2 windproof smock.
