    About this item

An original example of a 'Blouses Mens CD.20' dated 1952 and in a good wearable size.

This pattern of battledress first saw use with the Civil Defence and ARP in the early part of the Second World War and continued to see service well into the 1960s. This example is clearly dated 1952 but the pattern is the same as those issued in the early part of the Second World War.

This example comes complete with its original insignia which include 'Rescue' shoulder titles, Platoon Rescue Officer rank stripes to the epaulettes, and Emergency Aid Corps breast badge below which is the area title which reads 'Hertfordshire'. The sleeves also bear badges which denote that the owner was an instructor and first aider.

The original label is still present inside the jacket and is bright and legible. It bears the size of 14 as well as the maker's name of 'L. Harris' and the 1952 date.

The jacket is in reasonable condition for its age but does have numerous holes. These are most notable to the right sleeve but there are others. This has been reflected in the price but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing.

A nicely badged example in below average condition.
