General Gordon Star awarded by Gordon in the siege of Khartoum 1884-1885, during the Mahdist uprising in Sudan in1884. The medal was made locally in Khartoum and cast in sand using Gordons own Order of the Mejidiel as the model. The Medal is Pewter and is missing its top crescent. Very rare medal to see on sale.
