For sale is a WW1 Victory & War Medals To Wounded Frederick Watts Devonshire Reg & Machine Gun Corps.
This victory & war medal comes with their original ribbons and is engraved on the rim “13666 Pte F G Watts Devon R”. Frederick Graham Watts was born in 1886 in Paulton, Bristol. Fredericks farther was John Watts and his mother Martha Watts. He had three brothers John Thomas watts, Henry Charles watts and Stanley William watts. He also had a sister Lilley A Watts. Fredericks religious beliefs were the Church of England. Fredericks trade upon enlistment was a plumber. Frederick served with the 10th Devonshire regiment under the service number 13666 and with the machine gun corps under the service number 153752. Frederick entered the French theatre of war on the 22nd of September 1915. Whilst serving in France with B Company, 10th Devonshire Regiment two years and one month into his service, Frederick was wounded on the 11th of February 1917. He was wounded by a gun shot wound to the left leg. Shortly after Frederick was discharged from the British army and returned home. Frederick Graham Watts of Paulton, Somersetshire sadly died on the 20th March in 1928 Administration (with Will) Bristol & October to George Reginald Watts tailor. Effects £944 7s. 5d.
