For sale is a Post WW2 Royal Navy Defensively Equipped Merchant Ship Medal Group To D/JX333238 J Lewis A/AB A/ SG RNDEMS. He served at the rank of able seaman. 

  Includes in this group is a Silver hallmarked Maritime Service medal which is engraved on the rim D/JX333238 J Lewis A/AB A/ SG RNDEMS. The Maritime Service Medal has been struck in recognition of those military and civilian personnel who have served at sea or in support of those at sea. This includes the RN and Associated Reserve Forces, RFA, Mercantile Marine, Merchant Navy, RAF and Army Maritime Sections, RNLI and other Maritime Emergency Services. The medal and its miniature are beautifully designed and struck in solid silver. The silver hallmarks are for Birmingham 1994, by the silversmiths Bigbury Mint Ltd. This comes with its original presentation box.    Accompanying this medal is also a national service medal 1939-1960 that was produced by award productions ltd for the royal British legions.
