For sale is a Post WW2 United States Boxed Miniature Bronze Star Medal . This is in good condition and comes with its original issue box.
Instituted on 4th February 1944, this medal is awarded to any member of the Armed Forces who, while serving in any capacity with the Armed Forces of the United States on or after 7th December 1941, distinguishes themselves by heroic or meritorious achievement or service, although not for aerial flight. A bronze V is worn on the ribbon when awarded for Valour and subsequent awards are represented by bronze oakleaves. A number of awards have been made to British personnel in Afghanistan and Iraq as well as earlier campaigns and World Wars.
