For sale is a Post WW2 Investiture of Charles, Prince of Wales Commemorative 1969 Medal. This medal is in good condition, with no enamel damage.
The front of the medal states: “Charles Prince Of Wales 1st July 1969” The back of the medal states: “to commemorate the investiture of Charles Prince of wales at Caernarfon castle, borough of Rhondda.F.WGibbs Made in wales”. The investiture of Charles, Prince of Wales, took place in Caernarfon Castle, north Wales, on 1 July 1969. The ceremony formally presented the title of Prince of Wales to the 20-year-old Charles, eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II. He was the 21st heir to the English or British throne to hold the title.
