    About this item

For sale is a WW1 British Medal Duo To Wounded Pte F Treble 1/4th Battalion Royal Fusiliers.

The 1914-15 star and British war medal is engraved “2347 Pte F Treble 4-Lon R”.   Frank Treble served with the 1/4th (City of London) Battalion (Royal Fusiliers) during ww1. Frank entered the French theatre of war on the 6th of January 1915.    Whilst serving in France and Flanders with the 1/4th (City of London) Battalion (Royal Fusiliers) on the 17th of May 1915 Frank was wounded in action, and going forward was entitled to wear a wound stripe on his uniform.    Frank was discharged from the British army on the 27th of March 1919.   Sadly Frank passed away several years after then end of the war on the 8th of November 1921.    Frank was entitled to the victory medal, war medal and 1914-15 star. Unfortunately the victory medal is missing.    Accompanying this medal is 4 scans of his service records. Upon payment please let me know if you would prefer digital scans or printed copies. There is still plenty of research to be done on this medal!    This will be sent via royal mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.
