It was whilst he was serving with the Labour corps that he was awarded the ww1 victory and ww1 war medal.
Charles Offler was discharged on 7th of March 1919.
Unfortunately Charles Offler died on the 9th of the August 1923, (ages 43 years old) and left behind a widow and two children. In the research you can see that Charles’s widow was claiming widows pension; which was usually only accepted if a husband/ boyfriend or fiancé was killed at war. Perhaps he died as a result of being wounded at war, were not to sure.
