For sale is a WW1 Victory & War Medal to Pte T C Murray Cameron’s, Lovat Scouts & MGC.
This ww1 victory medal and war medal are engraved to “5334 Pte T C Murray Cameron’s”. Thomas Clark Murray, lived at 8 dalrymple drive in Edinburgh before enlisting on the 19th august 1915. Thomas served for 4 and a half years previously to enlisting for WW1. Thomas served with the machine gun corps under the rank of L/cpl under the service number 42927, under the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders under the service number 5334, and the lovat scouts under the service number 72927. Thomas was discharged in the 4th of September 1918 after being wounded with “Turbicle of the lungs caused by concussion of shell”. Unfortunately Thomas died a few years later, and his medals were awarded posthumously to his next of kin. Thomas was entitled to a British war medal and a victory medal which are both present. Accompanying these medals are 8 scans of his service records. Upon payment please let me know if you would prefer digital scans or printed copies.
