For sale is a WW1 War & Victory Medal KIA To G A Hall 3rd Bn New Zealand Rifle Brigade.
The victory and war medals are engraved on the rim “25/1190 Rflm G A Hall Nzef”. These have their full length ribbons but attached to the wrong medals! George Alfred Hall was born on the 3rd of September 1872, in Waterloo, Liverpool. His religious faith was Presbyterian, and his occupation on enlistment was general merchant. George Alfred hall enlisted into the new Zealand expeditionary force on the 15th of November 1915. He served in the egypt campaign this is where he was awarded the victory medal and war medal, and then he served in France. Unfortunately George was wounded in action whilst serving in France on the 31st July 1916 and then died of his wounds on the 8th of august 1916. He died aged 42 years of age. He was the Son of George and Hannah Hall, of Waterloo, Liverpool, England. He was Remembered with Honour and buried at BAILLEUL COMMUNAL CEMETERY EXTENSION, NORD.
