About this item
This is a WW1 German Veteran Commemorative Kyffhauser Bund Medal.
A unique Medal instituted in 1922 and was awarded to the veterans of WW1 in Germany. This was often the only medal of the soldiers in WW1 until The Cross of Honour was introduced.
Usually worn on civilian clothing. This was a private purchase and was often included in the membership of the veterans organisation.
