About this item
An excellent example of a Satchel, Khaki Drill for the PH Helmet which came into service in 1915.
This is the second pattern which features an additional inside pocket for the goggles which were required to be carried from 1916.
The flap is closed by two horn buttons which replaced the earlier used dished brass buttons and were considered easier to open quickly.
The carrying strap is adjustable in length by three dished brass buttons by Cheney.
The Satchel is completely free damage and with only some light storage stains.
