About this item
An original 1943 Dated British Army kit bag as used throughout the Second World War.
This example is a standard white coloured example as used during WW2. It is of standard design being made from a heavy duty cotton canvas and features brass eyelets around the top of the opening. The original owner has lengthened the bag by adding a section from another bag meaning he could carry more kit. It appears he was a signaller who lived in Woodbridge, Suffolk. Various details are marked to the front of the bag which offer the prospect of further research.
Inside the bag the original markings are still present which include the maker's name and the 1943 date. The War Department broad arrow marking is also present.
The bag is in used condition but displays well.
A good original kit bag with a nice early war date which offers the prospect of further research.
