An original 1966 Dated RAF Ordinary Airman's kit bag in good condition.
This example is made from a off-white coloured canvas and features brass eyelets around the top opening. Through these is the original rope which is often missing from examples found today. Two blue bands are painted around the waist of the bag as is often encountered. The original owner has added his name and serial number as well as the place of 'RAF Hospital HUHARRA'.
There is a marking to the interior of the bag which features the manufacturers initials, the 1966 date and the War Department broad arrow. The RAF stores number of 22B/2 is also present.
The bag is in used condition but is sound. It displays well and would make a good addition to your RAF collection.
