About this item

An original British Army 'Airborne' pattern map case which belonged to an officer who served with the Royal Engineers during the Second World War.

The case is made from a khaki coloured rubberised cotton material and features a trifold design. It fastens with metal press studs and features a pen holder to the front.

This pattern of map case is more compact than the common webbing type which made it a popular choice for elite units such as the British Airborne and Commandos.

A nice original example which is in good condition for its age.

This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
