57) An original WW2 US military issue life belt as used by the USN, Airborne Forces and US army for amphibious landings etc. this pattern was used for the D-Day landings. It is in excellent soft supple condition. Shows no damage and is complete with its large adjustable buckle and hook. A couple of very slight areas that have come slightly un-glued but nothing that affects the main sealed tube. The rubber pipes are soft and supple. The canister screw caps are fine but one is very stiff and wont turn, we have not but any force on this. a bit of oil to soak it and more force and it should unscrew. the other cap opens easily. We can see no dates but 100% wartime manufactured. It has a faint makers marked which shows that it was made by The Firestone Tyre & Rubber Co. We have not tried to inflate this so sold as found untested.
