About this item
A well used but very displayable example of a period Camouflaged Kriegsmarine M40 single decal Helmet.
An ET64 with a lot number of 1222 the shell retains a good degree of the brush applied camouflage perhaps in keeping with the Southern European theatre, possibly Italy. The shell is otherwise undamaged.
Inside, the skirt shows the stampings the third digit of the lot number a little faint, but I feel sure is a 2.
The liner band is steel, but the leather tongues have suffered considerable loss although the chinstrap is complete and still supple.
The all important Kriegsmarine decal shows some loss but the layered construction is unquestionable.
