    Awarded to Private Frederick Simpson who served with the 1st Battalion. The South Yorkshire Regiment of the (Kings Own Light Infantry). Indian General Service Medal 1854. Clasp: Jowaki 1877-8. (2768 PTE. FREDK. SIMPSON. 51st FOOT.) and Afghanistan Medal. Clasp: Ali Musjid. (2768 PTE. F. SIMPSON, 51st REGT.). Notes confirm on Afghanistan Roll that Private Frederick Simpson was put on the Army Reserve List on the 29th March 1880. Medals and clasps confirmed on medal rolls. Polished on high points. (with copy IGS 1854 and Afghanistan Medal Roll).
