About this item
Awarded to 654 Trooper Hermann Meibohm who served with the British South Africa Police. Queen South Africa Clasp Rhodesia. (684 TPR: H. MEIBOHM. B.S.A. POLICE.). He was born in Hamburg in around 1872 of German descent. He decided not to follow his father’s footsteps working as an Agriculturalist instead he decided to leave Germany for warmer sunnier climbs. He decided to make a new life in Rhodesia. To which he enlisted with the Matabeleland Division of the British South Africa Police on the 16th October 1897. (with copy research).
