About this item
For sale is a WW1 To the Glory of Jean Corentin Carré “À la Gloire de Jean Corentin Carré” French Soldier Hero Poster. The framed poster measures 60cm width x 80cm height.
This poster has a beautiful illustration of the young soldier Jean Corentin Carré aged just 18 years of age running through the trenches and no man’s land, with barbed wire and explosions in the background and a enemy aircraft in the sky above him. Jean Corentin Carré was considered the youngest French soldier in the trenches, sadly he was killed in 1918 at the battle of Souilly.
This poster can be removed from the frame with ease if needed. The poster is in fair condition, it has folded creases and damage to the edges which can be seen in the photos for more details. This displays absolutely beautifully!
