WW2 Army/ RAF Hand Held Distance Map Plotting Tool, Target Site

For sale is a Rare & Unknown Early WW2 British Army Or RAF Hand Held Distance Map Plotting Tool Or Target Site With Crosshair Sites. This is a very unusual tool, and we’ve had mixed opinions for what it’s used for.    The compass dial is fixed and does not move.   The larger square lenses is a concave lenses and holds a red set of crosshairs. This lenses makes objects in front of the lenses appear smaller than they actually are. This lenses is held on a black platform/ flat surface that pivots and can spin 360 degrees. This lenses has a rectangular border which can be Angled from 0 to 180 degrees.    Just below this platform is a triangular shaped pointer that can spin 360 degrees.    Behind this is a round lenses that can be angled between 0 and 90 degrees.    The handle is polished wood. And doesn’t have any markings.    This is a very unusual piece! And is in good condition. It measures 24.6cm in height, bottom of handle measures 5.5cm in diameter, 7.4cm diameter dial.    This will be sent via Royal Mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.
