    For sale is a WW1 Victory & War Medal Group To Wounded Pte F Hutton Royal West Kent Regiment. 

      Fredericks victory and war medal are both engraved on the rim “G-25123 Pte F Hutton R W Kent R”.    Frederick Hutton was born in 1898 in Barnsbury, where he also lived upon enlistment. His trade on enlistment was a clerk.    Frederick enlisted into the British army and served with the queens own royal west Kent regiment on the 2nd March 1916 aged 18 years and 2 months old.    his service records show that he thought it in France and Italy. Serving the first year or so at home (presumably training) from the 2nd March 1916 to the 19th of November 1917. He then joined the British expeditionary force from the 20th of November until the 1st of June 1918.    Unfortunately on the 2nd of June 1918 whilst serving with the queens own royal west Kent regiment he was wounded in action and received a gun shot wound to the buttock. He was there for then entitled to wear a wound stripe. He spent from the 2nd June 1918 until the 27th of July 1918, a total of 55 days in hospital recovering from this wound. He then served the remainder of his service, serving in France until his discharge on the 21st of January 1919.    He was entitled to a British war medal and victory medal which are both present.    This medal group includes;   Infantry record office document signed 11th October 1921   Victory and war medal cardboard packet   Victory and war medal transport paper packet   Ww1 war medal, ribbon & packet    Ww1 victory medal, ribbon & packet     The kings medal issued to him (F Hutton)   The kings medal issued to his brother (B Hutton)    8 pages of his service records as scans   Accompanying this medal is 8 scans of his service records.
