    For sale is a Post WW2 1955 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards Pass Of Parade Programme & Letter. 

      The letter states:   “Your son has just arrived in this Regiment to start his Military service. an his Troop Leader which means that while he is here am rosponsible for looking after him and for his litary Training. The propont job of this Rogimont is to proparo recruits for sorvico in their oventual Field Regiments, oithor at home or overaons. То achieve this wo first of all give them five wocks Gonoral Military Training consisting of drill, woapon training and basic litary Knowledge. At the end of this period thero is a Ceremonial Fassing out Parado followed by wook-ond leave. A fow mon so straight to thoir Fiold Regiments, but the majority romain for a further eight wooks training in the Royal Armoured Corps Trado which has boon solocted for thom. This "Corps Training" is all based on the Centurion Tank. hon this is finished they have leave and go off to thoir respoctive Rogimonts. Those car-markod ac Potontial Officoro do a spocial Course at the end of their General Military Training period and do not do this Copra Training. We have found from oxperience that tho presonco of Familion at the Coromonial Pancing Out parade at the oa of the five woako Gonoral Military Training adds a great doal to the occasion and you, with as many relations and friends as you can bring, aro cordially invited to attend. Sinco your son has a long wook-ond after this parade you will be ablo to travel homo together. This parade will be in fact on Thursday 20 Octobor 1955, and if you can como carly wo shall bo pleased to show you round the carp. will let me know in advance, Luncheon and Toa will bo provided in tho Cantoon free of charge, and overnight accomodation can bo arrangod also. If you I onsloss a bo klot givin further details, and I hope vory much that wo shall be able to wolcano you on the parats.”   This letter was sent by; 2/1t G.. Battle "A" Squadron, 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards, Catterick Camp, Yorks.   Accompanying this letter is a recruits pass of parade programme of events. This letter invites the parents of the son to this pass of parade.    This will be sent via Royal Mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within 2 working days.
