About this item
An original World War II British Royal Air Force field service cap (side cap), of the 1936 Pattern, featuring the correct King’s Crown RAF eagle badge and retaining its original RAF issue label.
The RAF field service cap was authorised under Air Ministry Order A93/36, becoming standard issue from 1939 and replacing earlier forms of service headwear for airmen and non-commissioned ranks.
