    Early small good conditon pre WWII period 1st pattern formation sign for the 47th (London) division. 

    Woven example of the eight pointed white star within a blue border on a black square. Worn 1925 until 1936 when the 56th and 47th London divisions were combined and the pattern changed. This design was also worn during the first world war period.
