Original 1940s British Army Officer's KD Bush Jacket - Size 40

An original British Military Khaki Drill Bush Jacket dating from the 1940s which is in good condition. 

This jacket is typical of those worn by British Army officer's during the 1940s. It is a private purchase example, as is very common to find with officer's uniform from this period. Many officers bought their own uniform and equipment with Khaki Drill uniforms being no exception. 

The jacket is made from a medium weight cotton drill and features long sleeves, an open collar and patch pockets to the chest. Bellows pockets can be found to the lower portion of the jacket and epaulettes are fitted to each shoulder. The jacket is fitted with plastic buttons which are typical of the period as well as a slightly mis-matched waist belt which features a brass twin pronged buckle. Two stitched holes are fitted to each collar tip to which regimental collar badges can be fitted. 

The jacket is a medium size which will suit around a 40" - 42" chest depending on desired fit. When laid flat it measures - 

Chest - 23 1/2"
Waist - 19"
Inside arm - 18"
Outside arm - 24 1/4"
Length - 28 1/2"
Shoulders - 18 1/4"

The jacket is in good wearable condition and displays well. There are some limited signs from age and use but overall it looks to be very wearable. Please study the pictures and bear in mind that this is a pre-worn vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age. 

A nice original period KD bush jacket which would suit a re-enactor or collector well.
