About this item
An original pair of United States military sports shorts which were made in 1945 and are in unworn condition.
This pattern of shorts was issued to a wide range of troops in the US military as sports shorts. They are made from a high quality khaki coloured cotton drill and feature an integral belt which fastens with a US military style buckle. There is a small ticket pocket located at the waist and there is a patch pocket to the rear which fastens with a button. Inside this the original label is still present and although not all the details are legible, the 1945 date is still visible. There is also a size stamp to the inside of the waistband which reads '42'.
The shorts will suit around a 38" waist depending on desired fit and when laid flat they measure -
Waist - 19 1/2"
Rise - 14 1/2"
Rear rise - 17 1/2"
Inside leg - 3"
Outside leg - 13"
Cuff - 15"
The shorts appear to be in unworn condition and are still very wearable. There are some storage marks which are evident in the pictures but overall they display well. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item which has some flaws commensurate with age.
A nice pair of original WW2 shorts.
This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
