About this item
A very nice original Rhodesian brushstroke camouflage bush jacket which dates from the 1970s.
This pattern of camouflage was introduced into service in Rhodesia in 1965 and was used throughout the Rhodeisan Bush War. It features a screen printed brushstroke camouflage pattern of green and brown on a sand colour background with the green being the dominant colour. The jacket is cut in a classic bush jacket style and features a button front which is fly fronted, long sleeves which end in a barrel cuff and a stand a fall collar. Plain patch pockets are fitted to the chest and skirt and featured pocket flaps. Both feature a two button fastening with the buttons set to the edge of each flap which is a notable detail on this pattern. There is also a drawstring fitted to the waist inside the jacket.
The jacket is a larger size which will fit up to a 46" chest and perhaps larger. When laid flat it measures -
Chest - 26 1/2"
Waist - 25 1/2"
Inside arm - 19 1/2"
Outside arm - 27 1/2"
Shoulders - 20 1/2
Length - 34"
The jacket is in good condition with some limited signs of wear and use. It is sound and wearable with no major flaws but does have some wear and fading etc. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
A very nice original 1970s combat jacket in a fantastic, classic camouflage pattern.
This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
