About this item
An original British Army officer's private purchase necktie which belonged to 1623356 R H Coxon who served with The Green Howards (Alexandra, Princess of Wales's Own Yorkshire Regiment) in the latter part of WW2.
The tie is made from a khaki green coloured wool cotton mix and features a typical 1940s construction. It is simple, unlined and short when worn. There is a maker's label which bears the 'Viyella Day & Night Wear' name and graphics used during WW2.
The overall condition of the item is good and it displays well although there is staining etc which is illustrated in the pictures and reflected in the price.
A nice original WW2 item which would make a great addition to any officer's uniform or display.
