About this item
An original Devonshire Regiment coloured field service cap which dates from the Second World War period.
This cap features a green crown and black skirt with red piping to the top edge and two brass general service buttons to the front. The cap is fitted with a bi-metal Devonshire Regiment cap badge. There is a second slit just to the left of the bottom point of the cap badge.. The interior of the cap is lined in cotton drill and features a grey coloured cotton sweatband.
When laid flat the opening of the cap measures 10 3/4" making it a large size of approximately 7 1/2.
The cap is in good condition for its age and it displays well with some signs of wear and age.
All in all a nice period cap which would make a good addition to any collection.
