Original WW2 Women's Land Army Tie by 'Tootal'

An original Women's Land Army necktie which was made by 'Tootal' during the 1940s. 

This pattern of tie was produced for the WLA and was intended to be worn when off duty and on parades. It is made from a green coloured rayon material and features the WLA initials in a repeated pattern. The construction of the tie is typical of the 1940s featuring no lining and being of single piece construction. It is also very short which is another typical trait of ties from this period. 

The original label is still present and is the style used by 'Tootal' during the 1940s. This brand had a variety of ranges, many of which were coloured coded. This example however is part of the 'Standard Quality' range as stated on the label. The words 'Made in England' are also present. 

The tie is in good condition for its age with some signs of wear and use. Overall it displays very well but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a vintage, pre-worn item which may have small issues commensurate with age.
