About this item
Despite being able to offer two of these exceptionally rare Oxygen Hoses for the RAF D Type Oxygen Masks, what makes this example outstanding is its excellent condition.
Having clearly been removed from a Mask, this example is full length at 5 feet and complete with its 6D101* connector.
The black rubber Hose remains perfectly supple and is completely free from splits or crazing and made from the later rubber which was taken to be less likely to freeze and as such did not need the troublesome braiding which so often began to part company with the rubber.
The connector is in very good condition, operating freely but with some loss to the finish. The markings are clear, 6D101 * and a large A M and Crown to one side, the other side marked Mk111B * and 2099.
It would prove very difficult to upgrade this excellent example.
