WW2 U.S.A.A.F 4th Air Force B15 Intermediate Flying Jacket Size 38R

This jacket has the correct off centre zip which was a feature of wartime jackets. Green cotton body with knitted cuffs and lower waistband .Angled waist pockets secured by press studs with interior tan cord lining . Left arm with single pen holder and printed "Army Air Force "patch . The right arm with embroidery 4th Air Force badge.  Brown sheepskin collar, complete with button across neck flap . Correct grey Alpaca lining. Wartime issue label to the collar made by "Aero Leather Clothing Co"  size "38R". Interior cotton lining by the zip with correct air force stamp .

Although the jacket does have some signs of wear and repairs, particularly around the bottom of the sleeves, and the collar has some signs of damage .The knitted  waistband is intact but worn to the interior.  This jacket clearly saw some wartime flying action.
