About this item
An original pair of 1943 dated Lutwaffe Model 306Â Fliegerbrille flying goggles in very good condition.
This pattern of goggles was introduced in the middle of the Second World War and replaced the early version which had a single piece face cushion, rather than the two separate cushions employed on this pattern. The goggles feature aluminum frames which can be adjusted using the small knurled nut which connects the two frames together at the bridge. The brige piece features the makers initials of 'P. W.' to one side and the date numbers '43' to the other. The black rubber face cushions are in excellent condition and are still soft and pliable. The strap is also very good and is still a nice deep olive green colour.
Overall, a very nice pair of mid war Luftwaffe goggles which would make and excellent addition to any aviation collection.
