Awarded to Private Thomas Qualter served with the 1st Battalion, 21st Foot (Royal North British Fusiliers). Crimea Medal 1854-56, Clasps Alma, Sebastopol. (3437 P. THOMAS QUALTER. 21st R. N. B. FUSILIERS.) Army Long Service & Good Conduct (3437. T. QUALTER. 1ST BN 21ST FOOT.) Turkish Sardinia (3437 T. QUALTER 21. R,N.B. FUSILIERS) Records show he served in the Crimea Campaign and served in both Sebastopol and Alma. Records show he received his Sebastopol Clasp on the 7th December 1855. Later received his second clasp Alma in January 1856. On the 1st April 1871 Private Thomas Qualter was recommended the award of the Army Long Service & Good Conduct. Medal sent to depot of which his regiment was stationed on the 5th October 1871. (with copy Crimea Medal 1854-56, Army L.S. & G.C.,Turkish Sardinia medal roll)
