Born Millbrook, Southampton 1879, joined Army 6th Dragoon Guards in April 1897. Served in Boer War. Entitled to Queens South Africa bars Paardeberg, Dreifontein, Johannesburg, Diamond Hill, Belfast, Relief of Kimberley. Also entitled to Kings South Africa 1901, 1902. Army Reserve 04-09. Rejoins for WWI and goes to France with 2nd Dragoon Guards on 9th October 1914. Discharged Class 'Z' 2nd May 1919
