About this item
An original World War One era medal trio, comprising the 1914 'Mons' Star, British War Medal and Victory Medal together with a George V 'Regular Army' Long Service and Good Conduct Medal, with reproduction ribbons, possibly being original on the LSGC. Named as follows;
1914 Star - S-7277 PTE C. P. BLACKMAN. A.O.C.
British War Medal and Victory Medal - S-7277 PTE. C. P. BLACKMAN. A.O.C.
LSGC - 75062 SJT. C. P. BLACKMAN. R.A.O.C.
There has been a mis-stamping of the first 75 of the service number on the LSGC, which can be seen stamped too close together just before the actual service number.
Cecil Blackman's 14 trio is confirmed on the Medal Index Card showing he arrived in theatre on 11 August 1914. He also had service number S/9283.
